Northridge Festival Tennis Tournament ‘A Big Hit’

The Northridge community pulled together this year for the Northridge Community Hawaiian Festival, formerly Salute to Recreation. The annual community event, featured live music, dancing, carnival rides, great food, and fireworks, as well as

the 15th Annual Youth Tennis Tournament. This year’s tournament was hosted at the Northridge Recreation Center through a collaborative effort among the Southern California Tennis Association, Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and the Northridge East Neighborhood Council.

Teaching pros, directors and Northridge elementary school principals were present to help coordinate both the Junior Novice Round-Robin event in the morning and the QuickStart Tennis tournament before the evening’s fireworks.
