
This week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new mask-wearing guidelines for members of the public who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The State of California along with the LA County Public Health Department will review the latest recommendations to determine appropriate adjustments. In the meantime, current masking protocols will remain for the City of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles County Reopenings
As of May 6th, Los Angeles County has reached an important milestone in the fight against COVID-19 by having met the threshold to qualify for the least restrictive Yellow Tier in the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. For more detailed information on LA County’s roadmap to recovery, click here.
Great to see that LA County and its residents have attained the Yellow Tier for Covid-19 restrictions level, based on their hard work and attention to details in fighting spread of the disease and getting vaccinated. This is real progress. Now let us see the rest of the county’s population and that of the nation follow suit and get their vaccinations as well.
