Legal Town Hall

On February 2, in partnership with City Attorney Mike Feuer’s Office, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and the Korean American Bar Association, Councilmember Mitchell Englander’s office hosted a Legal Town Hall for residents and businesses affected by the Aliso Canyon Gas Leak.

The more than 1,000 attendees heard from a panel of independent legal experts from the City Attorney’s Office, USC and UCLA Law Schools, and the LA County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs who discussed legal rights and the legal process. Participants also engaged in a one-on-one legal workshop to discuss questions they had about relocations, mediations, and how to avoid scams.
