LADWP Financial Assistance

The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) will end December 31, 2023 and though the amounts vary, the program amount increased and now provides up to $15,000 to pay past due water and sewer bills, and from $200 to $316 for current water and sewer bills for qualifying customers.

Here are some key points about the 2023 Program:

• LIHEAP and LIHWAP are two state programs that provide up to $5,000 $18,000 in assistance for utility bills for low income households. Enrollment is very low and LADWP wants to make sure that LADWP customers are aware of this and other programs that can help.
