In response to the Mayor’s Executive Directive No.10: Vision Zero, which committed the City to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries from traffic collisions by 2025, and the Governor’s recent signing of AB43, which allows cities to maintain and enforce existing safe speed limits and roll back speed limit increases that happened several years ago, the City approved a list of streets recommended for speed limit reductions.
