I saw the vote signs on corners, however I thought they related to the upcoming Nov. election. On Monday, Sept. 10, we received the notice in the mail regarding the upcoming election of Sat. Sept 8. Something should be done to mail out timely notices….what a waste to receive the notice AFTER the election. I did vote, but only because a neighbor came over to tell me about it on the very day of the election.
You seem to make a joke out of the General Ballot for the Northridge East Neighborhood Council by delivering notice by mail on Monday Sept. 10, 2012 for the Sept.9th vote. It is obviously too late for us to be involved with ‘my community and my choice’. If you’re not going to send notification in a timely manner that gives us some lead time about the voting don’t wast your time or ours pretending to have the community involved in making any decisions as this appears, this makes a joke out of all of this!
Our website had the election info for months, as well as our stakeholders who signed up for our email list.
